PUERTO RICO AND USVI WING CONFERENCE 2011
GENERAL INFORMATION
Civil Air Patrol members:
This year the Puerto Rico and USVI Wing Conference & Awards Banquet presents to all of Civil Air Patrol members a dignifying activity that celebrates Puerto Rico and US Virgin Island Wing, Groups and Units achievements.
A. DATE AND TIME
The activity will take place on December 10th, 2011 at the Best Western Hotel and Casino. Registration will begin at 8:30 AM. The General Assembly and Cadet Advisory Council Meeting will be held 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM (lunch is on you own); the seminars for the adults and cadets will be from 1:30 PM to 4:30 PM, and the Awards Banquet Ceremony from 6:00 PM to 11:30 PM.
B. ATTENDANCE
Attendance is open to all cadets and adults that wish to participate.
C. ACTIVITIES
In the morning, the General Assembly will take place with participation from National Staff,
Southeast Region Commander, Puerto Rico Wing Commander and special guests. During the
assembly some awards will be given to cadets and adults. Any unit or group that wishes to
award one of its members may do so with previous coordination.
During the afternoon, seminars for adults and cadets will take place such as:
• Aerospace Education Program
• Cadet Program
• Drug Demand Reduction Program
• Emergency Services Program
• Communication Program (Annual Communication Seminar)
• Cadet Advisory Council Meeting
The due date to send the registration form with the registration fee is November 10th, 2011.
D. LODGING
The participants will be able to lodge at the hotel of its preference; nevertheless, 15
rooms were reserved in the Best Western Pichi’s Hotel and Casino at a price of $135.00
per room per night plus 11% taxes for a total of $149.85. For those of you interested
to lodge at the Best Western Pichi’s Hotel and Casino will enjoy a morning breakfast
buffet each day plus free parking. To reserve a room you can call the hotel at 787-927-
0022 and mention that your reservation is for the Puerto Rico Wing- Civil Air Patrol so
that the mentioned fare can be honored until Nov. 10th, 2011.
For participants visiting Puerto Rico and in need of transportation assistance from the airport to
the hotel, please contact us before November 25th, 2011.
E. UNIFORMS
1- Wing Conference: Service Uniforms, CAP Blazer Combination, Services Dress (Blue) & Aviation.White T-Shirt and Corporate Uniforms.
2- Banquet:
a. Masculine: Mess Dress, CAP Blazer Combination, Services Dress (Blue) or Dark Tuxedo with
Tie and Corporate Uniforms.
b. Feminine: Mess Dress, CAP Blazer Combination, Services Dress (Blue) or Evening Gown and
Corporate Uniforms.
c. Cadets: Service Dress (Blue), Blue Semi-formal Uniform, Dark Tuxedo with Tie or Evening
Gown.
F. FEES PAYMENT
This year the fee for the Wing Conference can be covered in partial payments, but the total
balance must be paid by November 10th, 2011.
